Meet Entrepreneur, Tate Lucas

As we mentioned, we’re going to be featuring men of our local community and their stories. We’re starting our highlights with this kind-hearted guy who is the founder of Dot Dash located downtown in OTR (Over-The-Rhine). Dot Dash is a full service design and development company that aids other firms in creating digital strategies, web and mobile apps, as well as a wide range of other services.

In a quaint, modern office space, you get the vibe that the folks at Dot Dash want you to be comfortable. We walked into their space and immediately felt warm and welcome. With a table in the back for privacy and an extensive record collection of great sounds, you can’t help but feel the good vibes. That’s also the feeling you get as soon as you meet Tate. We were lucky to interview Tate and here’s what he had to say.

AC : What does fashion mean to you?

TL : Fashion is a fun part of life that allows you to express yourself in a small way every day. It's always there as an opportunity if you want to take it on, or it can be just as satisfying to opt-out and wear whatever you'd normally sit around the house in.

AC : How would you describe your style? What does style mean to you?

TL : I would describe my style as "Party Dad". Actually, that's not true at all. I've never thought to describe it or been asked to before.

AC : What surprising lessons have you learned along the way?

TL : If you just do what you say you will and turn things in on time, you'll end up doing better than most.

AC : What’s the best advice you ever received?

TL : When in doubt, choose to be overdressed rather than under-dressed.

AC : What inspires you?

TL : People who pursue their own creative interests. Seeing people chase after what they are passionate about inspires me to try to remember to do the same.

AC : What impact do you hope to make?

TL : I'd just like to be helpful and have a positive impact on the people who I cross paths with. I feel like I've been really lucky with opportunities, experiences, relationships, etc. and I want to do what I can to share those with other people.
