A Community Effort

It's important to us to be involved and connect with our community.

So for this post we wanted to share a little more about what we're doing and our future plans for hanging with our community. Plus, we know there are a lot of companies and brands out there that say they're doing something but really aren't; and, we'd like to set ourselves a part from them.

First thing's first. If you don't know anything about our story, let's start there. Reason being, it will give you a basis to understand our path and our journey.

When we talk about community, we aren't only focused on our local community, but our global community as well. However, it's important to start with the community at home. It's been a huge part of our founder's life and personality. From watching her grandparents and parents serve the community in completely different ways, it made an impressionable impact. That's why it has been so important to Ayana to bring the value of community into the brand from the very beginning. She believes that by building off of our collective experiences and by sharing them with one another, we can create a stronger and more vibrant community for the future.

With that being said, let us introduce you to one of the organizations we're working with in the community.

First, please go check out their site to see the amazing things that Mshauri is doing in the Cincinnati community. Founded by Glen A. Taylor, III, this organization provides mentoring, financial literacy classes, and more to at-risk kids that have lost a father/father figure in a traumatic way.

We don't just get involved with a group unless we truly feel what they're doing is empowering the community and showing that they care for people. And without a doubt, Mshauri and Glen are doing just that. From providing days for mom's to be able to take a few hours to themselves, to group events that allow the kids to get involved, to creating experiences these kids may not have the opportunity to have, shows how much love is being put into the community.

So we're sharing Mshauri with you. In association with them, we need your help to provide a place for these kids to grow and flourish. Help comes in many different forms. If it's by donating, volunteering, or sharing it with someone you know that can become a sponsor, it would be greatly appreciated. Let's work together and make a better place for the next generation today.
